Education Maintenance Allowance (EMA)
If you want to stay on at school or college you may be entitled to an Education Maintenance Allowance (EMA). This is a weekly allowance of £30. It provides financial support to help young people from low income households continue their education.

SASB friendship with DAMU
The students of St Andrew's and St Bride's High School have decided to make Mary's Meals out International Charity. It is our aim, along with the Learning Community and local parishes to raise £4,198 a year to feed each pupil in Damu Primary School in Malawi.

Rainbow Room International are looking for school leavers for Hairdressing Apprenticeships.

DYW – Announcement: Accelerate Monday 24th to Friday 28th of June 2019
Held at the University of Strathclyde, ‘Accelerate’ is a week-long programme for pupils at the end of S4 and S5.
Through a series of group activities, you will be able to find out more about the career you are interested in following. There are five courses that you can choose from, depending on what you might like to study after school: chemistry, computer science, electronics & electrical engineering, product design and law. Led by current university students who will act as your mentors, you and your team will complete our exciting five-day challenge programme, as well as attending career workshops and getting a chance to see what student life feels like.

World Book Day
All S2 pupils have been gifted the novel Noughts and Crosses, as part of our World Book Day celebrations. Please talk to your child about their reading and how they will complete the Reading Challenge due in May.
